The New Logo
Van-Es Camp and Conference Centre celebrates its 70th birthday in 2011
with a brand new logo! With the help of graphic designer, the Van-Es
board developed the simple circle of stones with the name clearly printed
at the side and bottom of the logo. The stones represent the warmth
of the camp fire circle. The different colours and sizes of stones symbolizes
people coming together, all colours, all shapes, all sizes, all ages,
all equal.
We treasure the same values today as we did in 1941 when the camp was
launched on unsettled land with no amenities. As important as it is
to look back to the archives of the camp and learn from its history,
we also look forward to Van-Es continuing to evolve as both a wonderful
camping facility and a place for different types of private functions.
The circle of rocks with our name is an easily understood and recognizable
"brand" to present to the general public.
Come Together at Van-Es
The Moravian Church is a relational church. At Van-Es Camp and Conference
Centre we value fellowship with each other and we welcome the stranger.
We gather around the fire pit and we gather around the table and we
do so as God's people.
