The
Van-Es Camp and Conference Centre offers a number of services to make
your event a success. The following is a short list of the services
we regularly offer to our clients.
Catering
We offer professional catering for up to 175 diners. There are a range
of menus and options for you to choose from for breakfast, lunch and
dinner, snacks and banquet options as well.
Audio/Visual
We offer a number of audio and visual technology to make your presentations
work. We have HDMI compatible projector, 8' x 8' screens for the Harmony
Centre auditorium and the Chapel. We have a wireless microphone system
and powered speakers. We offer free Wi-Fi Internet connection in our
Harmony Auditorium and Unity Lodge. And we have a electronic keyboard
for rent. The board room in the Unity Lodge has a built in projector
and sound system, with a full wall of Whitey Board for use with dry
erase markers.
Swimming Pool
The
pool and hot tub are available for rent all year round. We charge by
the hour, but we do not provide towels or life guards. The pool
and hot tub are excellent events to have on your next family reunion
or weekend retreat. The pool area is 1,386 sq ft and the pool is 1.5m
at the deep end and .5m at the shallow.
Outdoor Sports
Van-Es Camp & Conference Center offers a wealth of outdoor activities.
Other than swimming, we also offer outdoor sports like: basketball,
volleyball, soccer, archery, snow shoeing, and horseshoes.
Firewood
We provide firewood for use in our fireplaces on request. We have fireplaces
in both the Morning Star Hall and the Chapel.
Electrical Hookup
Although we do not provide septic hookups (gray or black), we do have
electrical hookups for trailers and motor homes
Caretaker
For
20 years Rupert Neuman has been the caretaker / host / ambassador extraordinaire
for Camp Van-Es & Conference Centre. When asked what he likes best
about working at Van-Es, Rupert will say "everything". Rupert
loves people and he lives that out every day. To the kids he is "Grandpa,"
to the Van-Es Board he is a lifesaver, to guests he is the go-to person
and a welcoming host.
